Mavka 1.0 evol 0

There’s belief that a child killed by its mother transforms into Mavka. It chooses some pond as a new home, near which a road or footpath passes. Mavka will forever remain a kiddo, and like all young creatures it likes merriment alongside random wanderers. Though barely coping with new abilities, Mavka often murders its toy. Occasionally this being takes revenge for its cruel fate, and sometimes recognizes its parent in the traveler. In a real fight, Mavka isn’t especially beneficial, since for her the battle is just a fun game with someone else's life. Nevertheless, Mavka has nothing to lose, and this arouses terrifying horror in the enemy.

Mavka 1.0 evol 1

Years roll on, and the kid-Mavka realizes that it has been dead for a long time. Nobody wants to play with such a freak - everyone is terribly afraid. The disappointment awakens great sorrow within this creature, nonetheless, only increasing its strength. From now on, Mavka sees in a lost wayfarer the only opportunity to entertain and play. The Slavs believe that such a being is capable of arousing dread and curiosity in their hearts simultaneously. The one who is frightened will be saved; but on the one who displays interest, Mavka will cunningly cast a haze and entice him into its dwelling, where the outcome is always known...

Mavka 1.1 evol 0

The Slavs pass by word of mouth a story according to which a lovely girl, suddenly leaving this world, becomes a particularly powerful Mavka. Tremendous strength lies in her beauty. Such a creature easily charms the traveler, casting the image of a young and lonely girl. However, this is part of her devious plan, for Mavka is an evil being who avenges her wretched existence. But the enchanted wanderer doesn't care, as long as his head is filled with completely different images...

Mavka 1.1 evol 1

Encounter with Mavka, who has reached full potential of her abilities, doesn’t bode well for wanderers. This creature’s dexterity is enough for a small squad. The victims become obedient slaves under Mavka's command, portraying a bloody scenario of mutual slaughter. Ill news comes apace, and the lake, which Mavka inhabits, gains the disrepute of the damned - people begin simply avoid it. The Slavs believe that amulets protect from Mavka's spells and allow them to escape, but how many of commoner use talismans?!
