They say that the heart of an Aspyd flares up with a wild flame - the snake warms the earth in its ancient shelter, destroys all living things with heat.
The Aspyd-guardian protects the great treasures, fed with greed and anger - his fetid breath burns through chain mail and melts the sword.
If even for a thousand years there is no justice for Aspyd, then that monster will rule all the snakes.
The gods themselves are not rulers for him - the Aspyd-King will roar - and the sky will fall to earth.
